Kim Zolciak:Skeletons in the Bierman Closet
Don’t be tardy for this super fun episode! Melissa takes it back to the very first housewife to pioneer (read: purchase) a singing career; Kim Zolciak Bierman! You might know a few of her sweet songs but the deal she made with castmate Kandi Buress really soured their friendship — ending in a lawsuit.
Lady Gaga: A Star is Torn
There’s no poker face here: Rebekah is excited to share some of the legendary lawsuits and lore that have swirled around Lady Gaga for years. From her oft- forgotten 2008 appearance on MTV’s The Hills, to the recent accusations that she stole someone’s music, Lady Gaga has always been followed by stories and scandal, and of course, the paparazzi — or should we say, PAWparazzi after her precious pooches were stolen?!
Tonya Hard(ing) Knock Life
Cold as ice or cool as a cucumber? Melissa is taking us from the ice rink to the boxing ring as we revisit one of the biggest news stories of the 20th century.
Tonya Harding’s name is known to most of us, but the handful of guys around her who actually perpetrated a crime have long been forgotten. That’s why Tonya had to do the redemption reality tour we’ve come to expect when celebrities have a fall from grace. Did Tonya deserve the wrath she got? Was Nancy as perfect as she was portrayed? Are they both a little crazy for attempting to fly on ice with blades on their boots? Lace up and get ready for a gold medal worthy story of olympic proportions!
Viva la Rants: Real Girlfriends in Paris Recap!
Due to life circumstances and natural disasters, Rebekah and Melissa are shaking it up this week with a recap episode 6 of the new Bravo show, Real Girlfriends in Paris.
Melissa is skeptical of these young women and their perfect faces, and she isn’t charmed by the croissants they wear or eat. Rebekah, on the other hand, finds the girls' and their lives fascinating and dare we say, winsome? But both agree there could be a touch more darkness in the city of Lights — but they will keep watching if only for the cheese, frítes, and to see if any of the girls ever get a zit or even just mild bloating.
Jillian Michaels: The Biggest Lawsuits
Rebekah played one game of pickleball and felt fit enough to tackle the tiny tornado that is Jillian Michaels. Best known for her unforgiving training style on the hit show, The Biggest Loser, Jillian championed eating well and working out as the road to health and fitness. So it was confusing when she launched a robust line of diet pills — it was also a class action lawsuit, because research showed the pills were potentially lethal.
Add in a home invasion, a Bravo feud, and a YouTube take down, and you’ve got one high-impact episode on your hands!
Jon and Kate + H8
Jon and Kate Gosselin have 99 problems but 8 of them are not their adorable kids. TLC show “Jon and Kate Plus 8” started out as a great way to support their family, but soon turned into a contemptuous struggle, a nasty divorce, complicated custody agreements, and allegations of cheating and stealing. Who is worse, Jon or Kate? It’s hard to say and probably depends on what year it is, but Jon’s Ed Hardy and DJ-ing years certainly don’t help his case. Listen now as Melissa focuses on the Jon half of this equation, to help make up your mind, then be sure to let us know what you think!
PK KEMSLEY: Boy George, I Think He's Got it!
Are you ready for a whale of a tale? You might know him as Dorit’s husband, but Rebekah would like to introduce you to Paul Kemsley, International Man of tax evasion and gambling debts. Oh, he also loves soccer! PK went from a teenaged suit salesman to one of London’s top tycoons, now he is a house husband whom Rebekah and Melissa can’t agree on. Listen with an open mind, a closed wallet, and ask yourself; Is PK Winsome?
Scott Stapp: No Good CREED Goes Unpunished
Melissa invites us — with arms wide open — to join her in Florida – the birthplace of the Grammy Award Winning rock band, CREED. Frontman Scott Stapp isn’t typical reality TV material, but trust, he made appearances on VHI’s Couples Therapy. Like any rock and roll band worth their salt, CREED excelled on stage (except for that one time the audience sued them), but they were falling apart behind the scenes. Stapp’s past trauma and current mental health struggles interfered with every facet of his life and point us back to a common thesis question here on CRIMINALITY: Is redemption even possible when it comes to douchebags?
TLC: Ain't 2 Proud 2 Declare Bankruptcy
In today’s episode, Rebekah dives deep into the waterfalls of the #1 girl group in the world: TLC! But it wasn’t all Grammys and hit singles for this trio. Despite their global success, T-Boz, Left Eye, and Chili found themselves completely broke due to the greed of an industry that steals from new artists. Add to this a few reality shows, health issues, arson, and an unexpected tragedy, and you get one heartbreakingly crazy, sexy, cool, episode.
Mama June: Honey BOO HOO
Who knew that a story that begins with an entertaining and adorable toddler — with a tiara, of course, would end up so dang dark? Melissa shares the family drama of Mama June, the mostly terrible men in her life, and her four daughters who deserved so much better. You likely know “Honey Boo Boo,” but you’ll know Mama June — in all her sizes and stages — inside and out by the end of the show. And let’s just say, to know her is not to love her.
We Stan a Cheater Brand: RHONY, SUMMER HOUSE, RHONJ
When it comes to Bravo-lebrities, brands are essential and must be protected at all costs. But as today’s story shows, that cost can be more than most Bravo-lebrities can afford! Sometimes a well intentioned reality star can get carried away with an idea before realizing it was actually somebody else’s. OR WAS IT?
We’re talking CHEATER BRANDS in today’s episode and Rebekah shares not one, but three cases of Bravo stars getting into lawsuits over their precious brand babies. From RHONY to RHONJ, with a fun Summer House interlude, you will be given the facts of these alleged cheater brands. She asks Melissa to make rulings on each case and we want to hear from you too!
Who Wants to Marry a (Maybe) Multi-Millionaire (with a record)?
When it comes to reality romance shows, The Bachelor, and its Executive Producer, Mike Fliess, are probably the pinnacle in terms of popularity and recognition.
Well, that is very much not the show Melissa tells us about today. The show at the center of today’s story was a one-hit wonder, though most would say it was a total miss.
“Who Wants to Marry a Multi-Millionaire?” debuted in the year 2000, and the bachelor they selected had an alarming rap sheet that slid by preliminary background checks, an exaggerated IMDB profile, and was maybe very probably, NOT a multi-millionaire. Maybe that’s why he only appeared as a shadowy figure from off-stage? Guys, it’s weird! Did Rick Rockwell find a wife? Could a show like this exist in 2022? Listen to today’s episode and find out!
Ashton Kutcher: Two and a Half Lawsuits
Before there was MTV’s Punk’d, there was MTV’s Harassment. Never heard of it? This problematic show got canceled before it aired and for good reason!
Rebekah and Melissa often recount stories that include reality shows we loved, we hated, we totally missed , or completely forgot about. But today’s story is unique: Rebekah centers on well-known star Ashton Kutcher, and not one but TWO reality shows he created that never saw the light of day, but did manage to get sucked into lawsuits.
All KAIL The Queen of Teen Mom
Melissa takes us on a journey into the phenomenon that is TEEN MOM. While precisely nobody involved in her story is still a teen, there is still plenty of mama drama, and Melissa guides us through the best and worst of it — including the epic battle between Kail and Brianna which included expensive lawsuits, extravagant gag gifts, and copious amounts of coverage on the ladies’ Instagram Stories! Where did all of that stem from? An alleged haircut that turned into criminal charges and legal accusations.
YOLANDA: No Good Hadid Goes Unpunished
We are back in Beverly Hills once again! This time Rebekah shares the mysteries, marriages and medical records of Yolanda Hadid. Her life goes in many directions from lemon picking to horseback riding, but there is ONE direction we don’t think she saw coming.
From her first husband, Mohammed’s monstrous, not to mention illegal, real estate property in Belaire, to her marriage with David Foster - which we can’t help but feel was always out of tune, to her journey with Lyme disease, and finally, her road to recovery which led to a dramatic altercation with daughter Gigi’s boyfriend, Zayne Malik.
Apollo Nida's In a Pickle
Melissa is coming in HOT - Hotlanta, that is. It’s her debut Housewives episode, and it is just peachy. From Phaedra's impressive career to her “murky” pregnancy timeline, Melissa explores Phaedra’s success on and off the set of the Real Housewives of Atlanta. But today’s story centers on her previous husband and the father of a real-life angel, Apollo Nida.
While happily married and raising young kids, Apollo relied on Phaedra’s legal expertise when he asked her to bail him out of jail. But as he went on to scam and defraud people in shady business practices (a la Jen Shah - allegedly), Phaedra refused to continue helping him out, leaving Apollo in a pickle that was not nearly as fun as the one in her pregnancy photoshoot.
Where Are they Now? 30 Episodes Update!
Thirty episodes and one year later - it was the perfect time for Melissa and Rebekah to host a “Where are they now?” episode? Until it wasn’t. (insert Dateline narration here)
The ladies went episode by episode and updated one another on the latest news for each story. They revealed everything from show cancellations nobody saw coming (Farewell, Flip or Flop) to Hollywood connections, with an emphasis on the CON. (Looking at you, Rand!) Some episodes didn’t have anything new to discuss, but Rebekah and Melissa still managed to talk for nearly two hours.
PATRICIA + WHITNEY: Southern Harm
Call your butler and ask them for a drink, because Rebekah is taking us down south today — right into Patricia Altschult’s stately home, where Whitney can be heard jamming on his gee-tar in the other wing. Try as she may, Rebekah was unable to find one charming thing about this show, but she did uncover a lesser-known legal feud between the show’s matriarch and her once friend, now nemesis, Cooper Ray. Rebekah vows not to discuss the more toxic storylines of the show, but don’t worry, Thomas and Kathryn’s mess seep right into this one because it’s practically unavoidable. Listen now, shower later!
FOFTY Shades of Rand
Vanderpump Rules gave us LALA, but Melissa is giving us RAND. Randell Emmet, that is. Rand went from a young, ambitious film student to rolling with a star-studded entourage in Hollywood. He eventually had enough clout to win over Lala, but was less lucky in business than he was in love. He was known to use investors' money to pay off debts which got him in more than one lawsuit, and one very public feud with a man who refused to be short-changed. We are forever indebted to Fifty Cent for all that came after. Whatever you do, listen to this episode now, because on Monday it might be too late…
Tarek + Christina: FLIP FLOP or FLIM FLAM?
Rebekah leads us into new territory today; a real estate territory! But first, Melissa and Rebekah have to talk all things LOVE IS BLIND Season 2 - and they do. If you want to avoid spoilers, skip ahead to around 22:30.
Back to real estate. Tarek and Christina are stars of the hit HGTV show, Flip or Flop, which Rebekah feels is about as fun as watching paint dry, which is also sometimes the show’s storyline. However, she’s telling their story because some of the more compelling plot points in their lives happened when the cameras weren’t rolling.
From a “gun incident” that perplexed everyone, to a capital S “Scam” that the Feds had to shut down, these two haven't always enjoyed such great curb appeal. Rebekah and Melissa pause to connect the dots between Tarek and Christina's past and present romantic partners which might leave you seeing double.
